This recipe is a much better alternative to canned dog food, packed with fresh protein and vitamins, and can be stored in the fridge for most of the week.

Beef Stew, Protein And Vitamins Dog Treats
Ingredients
- 1 pound of beef stew meat
- 1 small sweet potato
- 1/2 cup of carrots, diced
- 1/2 cup of green beans, diced
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 1/2 cup of water or organic vegetable oil, plus 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil for frying
Total: Makes approx 4 cups (or 32 fluid ounces)
Instructions
- Microwave the sweet potato for 5 to 8 minutes, or until firm but soft. Place aside.
- Cut the stew into smaller pieces, about the size of a nickel.
- Cook the stew pieces in a tablespoon of vegetable oil for 10-15 minutes, or until well-done.
- Remove the meat chunks from the pan, keeping the drippings in the pan.
- Cut the sweet potato into cubes.
- Heat the drippings in a saucepan over medium-low heat. To make a thick gravy, slowly whisk in the flour and water into the dripping.
- mix the meat, sweet potato, carrots, and green beans in the gravy.
- Cook for about 10 minutes, or until the carrots are soft.
- Serve chilled.
- Refrigerate any leftover stew for up to five days.
